A. SUMMARY This dataset contains information about all Permanent Civil Service (PCS) appointments in the City and County of San Francisco, excluding Police Officers (Class Code Q002), since October 15, 2018.
Description
Each row represents an appointment, including job class, department, rank on the list, and date of appointment. B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED The data is pulled from the City's source system of record (PeopleSoft) and distributed via a Snowflake share.
C. UPDATE PROCESS The data is refreshed daily via an scheduled, automated process. D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET To use this dataset, analysts should be aware that each row represents a single appointment. The data can be filtered by department, job class, and date of appointment.
