Data of personality traits and safety attitudes in aviation maintenance

Seven demographic questions were provided: Gender, Total length of work experience, Length of work experience in a current role, Type of license/authorisation, Maintenance approval, Supervisor/Team leader, and, current work area 2. The Big Five Inventory was used to assess personality traits.

The Personality Traits section included 44 questions covering Extraversion (8 questions), Agreeableness (9 questions), Conscientiousness (9 questions), Neuroticism (8 questions), and Openness (10 questions). 3. The Safety Attitudes section comprised 34 questions categorised into four sub-groups: Understanding of job roles, Teamwork in Emergencies, Overall Importance of Effective Teamwork and Communication, and the Importance of Clear Communication within aviation Team.
