Coupled Model Experiment Data for "The Spring North Pacific Meridional Mode: A Cross-Seasonal Precursor to Autumn Arctic Sea Ice Anomalies"

<p dir="ltr">This dataset contains the coupled CESM2 experiment output (CTRL and NPMMsens) supporting the manuscript titled "The Spring North Pacific Meridional Mode: A Cross-Seasonal Precursor to Autumn Arctic Sea Ice Anomalies."</p><p dir="ltr">The dataset includes monthly atmospheric variables (surface temperature, zonal and meridional wind, geopotential height), sea ice concentration, and sea surface temperature (SST) from the two coupled model experiments.

The CTRL experiment is a 60-year control run; the first 10 years are discarded as spin-up, and only years 0011–0060 are used in the analysis. Accordingly, the atmospheric data files are provided for years 0011–0060 only. The NPMMsens experiment consists of a 50-member ensemble, with each member integrated for one year; the data cover years 0011–0060.</p><p dir="ltr">Note that <code>PMMsens</code> in the file names corresponds to <code>NPMMsens</code> in the manuscript. <code>cam.zg</code> denotes geopotential height (gpm), <code>cam.uv</code> denotes zonal and meridional wind (m/s), <code>cam.ts</code> denotes surface temperature (K), <code>cice.aice</code> denotes sea ice concentration (%), and <code>surface_sst</code> and <code>PMMsens_sst_11_60</code> denote SST (K) for CTRL and NPMMsens, respectively.
