Transcriptome profiling of HCT116 cells and differentiated HCT116 cells induced by forced expresssion of MYOD1 or PPARG using RNA-sequencing.

Listed in NCBI GEO

The core proeprty of cancer cells is neural stemness, which determines tumorigenicity and pluripotency.

Description

Therefore, cancer cells can supposedly be induced to differentiate along different lineages. HCT116 is a human colon cancer cell line.

We found that HCT116 cells differentiated into muscle- or adipocyte-like cells upon induction by muscle or adipocyte differentiation factor MYOD1 or PPARG, respectively.
