County to County, State to State and County Income Migration Flow Data Files

The agency created and maintained these files to support its publication of statistics related to the operations of the internal revenue laws.
Description
The agency used these files to study the internal migration of taxpayers and related income. This series contains data showing in-migration and out-migration for each county and state for the number of taxpayers and personal exemptions.
The data include the number of returns (a surrogate for the number of households), number of personal exemptions (a surrogate for the total population), total money income, and median money income. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC). See the ARC catalog entry for this series for more information on this data and how to order it.
