Theory Construction and Hypotheses Testing on Work Motivation (I)

Listed in Harvard Dataverse

The major purpose of this two-year proposal is to develop an integrated work motivation theory.

Description

Based on results of some prior exploratory studies, the researcher first develop a conceptual framework and some working hypotheses, then to develop measurements to test the theoretical model. This is a term report of the first year research.

During the past year, 12 inventories were developed and pretested. The range of internal consistent coefficients from .54 to .95, with a median of .81. Factor analyses show more complicate structures in most of those inventories.
