This single-cell RNA-sequencing dataset was generated to investigate cellular and transcriptional changes following endothelial PLVAP loss in the adult mouse retina–choroid.
Description
Control and inducible endothelial-specific PLVAP knockout (PLVAPiECKO) mice were analyzed 10 days after PLVAP deletion. Single-cell transcriptomic profiling was used to characterize major retinal and choroidal cell populations and to examine PLVAP-loss-associated changes in choriocapillaris endothelial cells, retinal pigment epithelial cells, and photoreceptors.
The dataset provides a cellular framework for understanding how disruption of PLVAP-dependent endothelial fenestration affects vascular–tissue exchange and metabolic homeostasis in the outer retina.
