Viva Bem Sleep stages determination dataset

The dataset provides insights into sleep quality and its relationship with activity patterns, including data on physical activity, heart rate, body composition, stress, and sleep, all captured through the Samsung Health system. The data collection for this study took place in both free-living and controlled environments.

Participants were given a smartwatch to wear throughout the day to track metrics, including daily step count, heart rate, body composition, and stress levels. They were instructed to wear the smartwatch during sleep for analysis of their sleep patterns. After a week of free-living data collection, participants visited the Sleep Laboratory at Unicamp for polysomnography, a comprehensive test involving multiple sensors to record brain activity, eye movements, muscle activity, respiratory function, and other physiological parameters.
