Surveys of Military Training and Gender - Related Issues

In addition, the Commission used the study to understand military leader opinions on the quality of entry - level graduates, gender - integrated basic training, and other gender - related issues in the military. This series contains social survey sample data from 10,814 military recruits across all services and basic training sites, and 2,290 rec ruit trainers.

Other leader samples consisted of approximately 13,000 officers and senior enlisted, and a census of all battalion / squadron / ship - level operational commanders and their senior enlisted advisors. The data files contain basic demographic data on respondents and opinion data on topics related to military training. Survey data contain a 31-item scale measuring three cohesion constructs (i.e. commitment, respect for authority, and group identity).
