LBA is the Large Scale Biosphere-Atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia project.
Description
The LBA-HydroNet V1.0 is the prototype version of a regional hydrometeorological data bank to support water sciences and water resource assessment in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, using joint pan-American scientific and monitoring station information resources. There are monthly and daily time series and monthly average precipitation data provided from various sources.
The monthly average precipitation data are .1 deg x .1 deg resolution; the time series data are at .5 x.5 deg resolution; the daily data resolution is .1 x.1 deg. The time range is 1901-1999 except for the daily data, which is 4-1-98 to 4-1-2001.
