Correspondence Control System Files

The agency used this information to assist with management and congressional reporting requirements. This series consists of records that contain detailed information on the receipt and handling of executive or routine correspondence, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, complaints, sanctio n cases, and enforcement actions.

The information includes: correspondent's name and full address, correspondence transaction type, correspondence category and type, responsible offices assigned to complete the correspondence request, government agency submitting the correspondence, subject's name and full address, subject's business firm or establishment, person assigned and responsible for completion of response to the correspondence, primary subject of the text of correspondence, and the current location with date and status of the processing of the correspondence.
