Taxonomic notes on the crane fly genus Thrypticomyia Skuse (Diptera, Limoniidae) from Chinese Mainland, with description of a new species

Thrypticomyia Skuse, 1890 is a limoniid genus with 38 known species and subspecies from the Australasian, Oriental, Afrotropic and Palaearctic Regions, of which two are recorded in Chinese Mainland.A Thrypticomyia species from Sichuan, China, T. sichuanensis sp. nov., is described and illustrated as new to science.
Description
The genus Thrypticomyia is recorded from Sichuan for the first time.
