Modernization: about the old ways and the arrival of industrial tools and techniques in Yongning: tractors, telephones, motorbikes and cars

Rather than directly addressing the suggested topic (industrial tools and techniques), the narrator describes the old ways, and how they gradually changed. Note: as a whole, the recording session conducted that day emphasized modern topics, modern tools, techniques and technology, and the vocabulary that came with them.

This encouraged the consultant to use Chinese borrowings more lavishly than under previous circumstances, when the emphasis was on the old ways and the old ways.
