Sperm from gonochoric and hermaphroditic corals display distinct morphological and molecular phenotypes, yet it is unknown whether the signallng pathways controlling sperm motility are also distinct between these sexual systems. We addressed this knowledge gap using the gonochoric, broadcast spawning coral Astrangia poculata.
