The J.C. Deeming insect museum domicile in Crop Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria houses over 70,000 preserved insect specimens covering 29 orders and 625 Families.
Description
These insects were collected from different ecological zones (natural and agro-ecosystems) of Nigeria with few specimens from outside the country spanning decades between 1953 till date. These specimens will be updated as sections are completed for publication however, the current occurrence list comprises of only specimens from order Orthoptera.
