Water column sampling for chlorophyll-a and phaeopigment concentrations were collected using a CTD niskin rosette sampler during a single ship cruise to the Antarctic, April-May 2002.
Description
Samples analyzed using a Turner Fluorometer (LE 40603). Sampling ranged from the surface to 3000 meters with a sampling concentration in the upper water column.
The general survey area includes: the continental shelf to the west of the Antarctic Peninsula extending from Crystal Sound south to Alexander Island, including Marguerite Bay, and seaward to water depths of 3000 meters.
