High School and Beyond Longitudinal Survey of Students in the United States

The Agency conducted this survey to study the transition from secondary school attendance to early adulthood.

Description

It was used to analyze education factors and link them to the events following high school graduation: higher education; marriage; work; and family formation. This series contains longitudinal survey data about the sophomore and senior classes of 1980 and their post-high school lives.

This educational and social survey contains information on the students, their families, language s spoken at home, friends, teachers and other school administrators, high schools, colleges and universities attended, post-secondary financial aid, coursework and transcripts, work histories, and local economic indicators.
