Gene expression profile at single cell level of calvarial bone defect in diabetes

Listed in NCBI GEO

The diabetic SD rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) 7 weeks prior to surgery.

Description

A 5 mm-diameter calvarial defect was created in both diabetic and control rats to investigate the impact of diabetes on bone healing. Before suturing, the defect was filled with a gelatin sponge.

Rats were euthanized via carbon dioxide inhalation at 3 days post-surgery to retrieve the hematoma-adsorbed gelatin sponges. Cells from the sponges of both groups were collected for single-cell transcriptomic analysis.
