The data of the article“Effects of combined wall slip and gas injection on flat-plate boundary layer stability“
Listed in ScienceDB
This dataset primarily includes DNS grid distributions for basic flow calculations, basic flow data, and unstable modal distributions solved using a proprietary LST program for the basic flow.
Description
It encompasses various data types such as growth rates, phase velocities, and integral N-value distributions. This study establishes a LST method by simultaneously considering mass transfer effects and wall slip coupling effects.
It investigates the mutual influence mechanisms on boundary layer flow stability at Mach number 5 for a flat plate boundary layer, analyzing the varying degrees of coexistence between these two coupled effects. This dataset primarily consists of the following seven files. File 1 provides the laminar basic flow field of the flat plate calculated using a two-dimensional DNS program, specifically including values for density, velocity, and temperature at position ReL=1000, corresponding to Figure 3 in the paper.

Additionally, based on the above data, the calculation method for the generalized inflection point in Figure 4 can be obtained. File 2 presents the variation of modal growth rate with frequency at position ReL=1000 for different models. File 3 contains data on the growth rate of three-dimensional slow modes as a function of angular frequency for different wave angles, in dat format.
File 4 contains a comparison of the phase velocity distributions for fast and slow modes, corresponding to Figure 9 in the paper. Files 5 and 6 respectively provide the growth rates of unstable modes for different extraction regions under conditions with and without slip effects, corresponding to Figures 14 and 16 in the paper. The data within these files can be integrated to obtain the distribution of integral growth N values, as shown in Figures 15 and 17.
