Performance of a Logistic Regression Model Using Paired miRNAs to Stratify Abnormal Mammograms for Benign Breast Lesions

Listed in NCBI GEO

We have generated EarlyGuard™, a novel logistic regression model using five paired miRNAs, to stratify subjects with abnormal mammograms who are proven benign, i.e., neither a breast cancer nor a pre-cancerous diagnosis, on a subsequent diagnostic biopsy at NPV of 96.9%.

Description

The classifier could be used as a “rule-out” test in the management of subjects with suspicious breast imaging findings who undergo subsequent biopsy of the breast and would have a diagnosis of neither breast cancer nor a pre-cancerous condition (e.g., ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)).
