A Compartment Model and Deep Learning Approach for Simulating the Dynamic Transmission of Covid-19

Listed in ZivaHub

This thesis develops and evaluates two approaches for modelling COVID-19 transmission.

Description

The first approach is an ODE-based compartmental model incorporating vaccination and mask usage. The model is analysed through stability analysis, sensitivity analysis, numerical simulation, and differential evolution optimisation.

The results show good agreement with observed data. A hybrid CNN–LSTM model is also applied to forecast COVID-19 cases in Victoria and Western Australia, compared with ARIMA-based models.
