Associated Data and Core Code for "Comparison of Fourier, Wavelet, and Greedy CEEMDAN-based HHT"

Listed in ScienceDB

This dataset is the correlation data of the paper "Comparison of Fourier, Wavelet, and Greedy CEEMDAN based HHT".

Description

The dataset contains the following content: The core code of Greedy CEEMDAN in the paper introduces a greedy noise amplitude selection mechanism based on component residual orthogonality (CRO) minimization on the basis of standard CEEMDAN, which can adaptively match the optimal noise level for signal components of different scales and effectively suppress mode mixing problems.

It also includes an IMF physics automatic criterion function (based on correlation coefficient and energy proportion) to distinguish between physical components and non physical pseudo components. Includes the monthly average sunspot numbers from 1749 to 2025 in Experiment B (Version 2.0), sourced from the Royal Observatory of Belgium SILSO Data Center (Sunspot Number | SIDC), in the original format of a semi colon separated text file.

This study performed format cleaning on the data by converting separators to commas (CSV format), adding headers, generating a standard date column based on year and month (YYYY-MM-DD), and unifying the numerical display format. The hard X-ray flux data of M7.4 solar flare on March 10, 2024 used in Experiment C is sourced from the Hard X-ray Imager (HXI) onboard the ASO-S satellite. The data was obtained through the official website of ASO-S Scientific Operations and Data Center (SODC) (Advanced Space based Solar Observatory) and downloaded in IDL SAV file format (. sav).

When downloading data, HXI's Level 1 scientific data product was selected, and all four energy band channels (10.0-20.0 keV, 20.0-50.0 keV, 50.0-100.0 keV, 100.0-300.0 keV) were simultaneously obtained. The complete time range of this data is from 12:00:03 to 12:59:53 UTC on March 10, 2024, with a total of 2432 data points and a time resolution of 1 second. During the flare outbreak (12:08:40-12:9:30 UTC), the data automatically switches to a high time resolution mode of 0.25 seconds.

The analysis of this paper is based on the data of the high-resolution period (0.25 seconds). Include the IMF component maps obtained by decomposing three experiments (artificial signals, sunspots, and solar flares) using the ICEEMDAN method in the paper, for comparison with the decomposition results of Greedy CEEMDAN. Specifically, it includes: ICEEMDAN decomposition IMF diagram of artificial signals; ICEEMDAN decomposition IMF diagram of monthly average sunspot numbers (1749-2025); ICEEMDAN decomposition IMF diagram of hard X-ray flux data for M7.4 solar flares.
