Data for: Comparison of parameters affecting GNP-loaded choroidal melanoma dosimetry; Monte Carlo study

The significance of GNPs’ size effect on macroscopic dose enhancement in choroidal melanoma was also demonstrated, with implications on larger diameter GNPs in combination with a high concentration depositing more energy on a macroscopic level.

This study also specifies the efficacy of low energy photon sources in the presence of GNPs in yielding a high dose to the region of interest. Experimental works on a wide range of sizes and concentrations of GNPs is a prerequisite in the precise brachytherapy treatment of choroidal melanoma which will be conducted in future studies.
