<p dir="ltr">Higher education is widely seen as a pathway to social mobility, yet access to top institutions may be shaped by hidden advantages rather than merit alone.
Description
This raises a critical question: does parental income determine who gets access to opportunity, even among equally qualified students? By isolating the effect of income while holding SAT scores constant, this research addresses whether higher education truly levels the playing field or reinforces existing inequality.</p>
