Description

The agency used the data in this file to support programmatic activities including hydrographic surveying, port and harbor maintenance, coastal engineering, coastal zone management, and offshore resource development. This series contains hydrographic data on the depth and type of waters around the United States, dependent states, such as Guam, and independent countries including the Bahamas, Canada, Mexico and Micronesia.

Data elements include the locality, survey type, tides and ocean bottom soundings. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC). See the ARC catalog entry for this series for more information on this data and how to order it.
