SEG-Y Integrated Multichannel Seismic Profiler Dataset from the Southeastern Apulia Continental Margin (Otranto Channel, Southern Adriatic Sea)

This Otranto Channel dataset (OC) include multichannel seismic (MCS) lines at different resolutions, which provide imaging of the subsurface architecture and help identify structural, stratigraphic, and sedimentary features such as the carbonatic platform, fault systems, gas seepages, submarine canyons, and related geohazards (e.g. mass-transport deposits, debris flows, and turbidity currents) (Del Ben et al., 2026; Caradonna et al., 2026; Geletti et al., 2026).

The MS-29 profile acquired in 1971 by the OGS as part of the Mediterranean Sea (MS) project and reprocessed in modern mode by Brancatelli et al. (2022), that produces a Pre-Stack Depth Migrated (PSDM) section is added to this OC dataset. The OCSS15 dataset was acquired by the R/V OGS Explora using a short 300 m digital streamer and a Mini GI gun (approximately 1 L total volume), providing a good balance between vertical resolution and penetration depth, and reaching the Messinian and Carbonate Platform reflectors.
