French Corpus of Causal Connectives, Discourse Relations, and Subjectivity FreCaDiS

The FreCaDiS corpus consists of a total of 1081 excerpts (52527 words): 200 from blogs, 220 from contemporary literature, 221 from web discussions, 205 from SMS and 215 from written press.
Description
The excerpts were randomly collected through search using “car” and “parce que” as keywords in Sketch Engine (blogs and web discussions), the Corpus of novels from CENTAL (Université Catholique de Louvain) (contemporary literature), the Belgian SMS Corpus (Cougnon 2012) and the Le Monde Corpus (year 2012).
The shared dataset includes only annotations of subjectivity and discourse relations (explanation vs. justification) for sentences containing the causal connectives "parce que" and "car" extracted from the FreCaDiS corpus. Excerpts cannot be shared with open access due to copyright restrictions.
