Unravel the oligodendrogenic program of adult spinal cord neural stem cells

Listed in NCBI GEO

The cells of the central canal of the spinal cord constitute a niche of stem cells.

Description

A fraction of these cells can give rise to astrocytes and oligodendrocytes in vitro and predominantly produce astroglia in vivo. We explored the molecular mechanisms regulating the formation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) from spinal cord stem cell cultures derived from PDGFRA-GFP mice.
