Naturalizations Files

The agency used the Naturalizations files, one component of the SRS, to capture records of aliens who met the requirements to become naturalized United States citizens and for whom certificates of naturalization were issued. The agency produced statistical summary reports on naturalizations from these records.

This series contains records with the naturalized citizen's name, the I mmigration and Naturalization Service assigned alien identification number, year and country of birth, sex, marital status, former nationality, occupation, date and court of naturalization, and state and area of intended residence.
