(JAAD Submission) Dermatology residents combined oral contraceptive pill prescribing practices, supplemental data

Combined oral contraceptive pills (COCs) are a safe and effective FDA approved adjunct therapy for females with acne vulgaris.
Description
However, data is lacking assessing U.S. dermatology residents’ use of COCs. Our cross-sectional survey study of dermatology residents aimed to identify prescribing practices, knowledge, and comfort level utilizing COCs for treatment of acne vulgaris.
The Institutional Review Board of Penn State/ Hershey Medical Center approved the study protocol. An anonymous survey was emailed to ACGME approved U.S. dermatology residency program coordinators and directors to forward to their residents. Responses were analyzed with descriptive statistics highlighting areas for improvement.
