Green Technology Innovation Cooperation Network Data of Chinese Prefecture-Level Cities, 2011–2020

The data is mainly from the patent database of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), and green patents are identified according to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Green Inventory green technology classification standards. By extracting green patent joint application information between different city applicants, building green technology innovation cooperation relationships between cities, and eliminating internal cooperation within the same city.

For joint patents involving three or more cities, a pairwise combination method is used to construct inter city cooperation relationships. On this basis, a city green technology innovation cooperation network is formed, and relevant network structure and node characteristic indicators are calculated. This dataset is mainly used to analyze the evolutionary characteristics of China's urban green technology innovation cooperation network, knowledge and technology connections between cities, and the impact of green innovation cooperation on regional carbon emissions and other economic and environmental performance.
