Description
This dataset supports the study “An Assessment of the Impact of Informal Apprenticeship Training for Out-of-School Youths in Kano State, Nigeria.” It contains anonymized survey spreadsheets for master-craft persons (MCPs) and apprentices (APP) disaggregated by Kano metropolitan LGAs, plus audio recordings and verbatim transcripts of 10 key-informant interviews. Included are codebooks, questionnaire instruments, and basic metadata (dates, locations, respondent categories).
Sensitive identifiers were removed to protect privacy. The mixed-method files enable quantitative analysis of training outcomes and qualitative thematic exploration of constraints and innovations in informal apprenticeship systems. Licensed for scholarly reuse with attribution.
