Benefits of a ball and chain: Simple environmental enrichments improve welfare and reproductive success in farmed American mink (Neovison vison)

This study investigated how a practical enrichment program on North American farms affected mink welfare over the course of their annual cycle. The project began with a pilot study on two farms to assess the practicality and cost of a wide range of possible enrichments, followed by a more comprehensive experiment expanded to three farms to collect more detailed data, including data on reproductive variables.
