High-Resolution Terrestrial Laser Scanning Point Clouds and Surface Meshes from the Bedretto Tunnel

Data acquisition was conducted in June 2025 using a ground-based LiDAR system (Optech Teledyne). The scanner was positioned at approximately 20 m intervals along the tunnel, and the tunnel surfaces were surveyed with an average point spacing of approximately 2 mm, resulting in dense, high-resolution three-dimensional representations of the excavated areas.

All individual scans were processed, registered, and merged into a unified dataset to provide continuous coverage of the tunnel. The data are provided in the local coordinate system adopted by the BedrettoLab. This coordinate framework is consistent with the coordinate system used for boreholes and other experimental infrastructure, enabling straightforward integration with geological, geotechnical, geophysical, and monitoring datasets.
