The theme of research is the local nonprofit organizations(NPOs) in Chia-Yi city.

Description

The research uses the method of network analysis to examine the network structure of NPOs. Through the use of social network method, this study attempts to explore the forms of resource dependence, the process resource mobilization, the interaction between NPOs and government sectors.

The importance of research is applies the technology of network analysis with the theories of organization to explore the relations of local NPOs and the exchange of resources. The theories of organization have been used extensively in the study of interorganizational relations. This paper reviews three theoretical traditions: the population-ecology approach, the resource dependence theory, and neoinstitutionalism.

The results of research that NPOs has focus on local services. The NPOs do not employ too much full-timer and volunteer. The strategy of social resources mobility that includes inviting new members, contracting out in government.
