NightWatch engages volunteers across Great Britain to survey nocturnal wildlife in their community.
Description
Volunteers collect audio recordings using static acoustic sensors (AudioMoths) deployed at a location of their choice. This could be a garden, windowsill, balcony or local green space.
Bat activity is recorded for one night at each location. Bat calls within the recordings are identified using a combination of AI tools and manual verification. Volunteers also watch and listen for wildlife for an hour at sunset.
