Breaking the Ice: Overcoming Hurdles to Open Neuroscience and Mental Health Research

The data were collected during the 2025 Open Science in Action Symposium on October 27, 2025. Data sources include written notes, structured discussion outputs, and synthesized thematic analyses derived from facilitated table discussions focused on identifying facilitators and barriers to adopting open science practices.

Raw data were de-identified, and summarized analytic files reflect the coding and thematic interpretation conducted by the manuscript authors. The purpose of this database is to support research transparency, reproducibility, and reuse by providing access to the empirical materials underlying the manuscript's conclusions. The dataset enables users to examine how discussion-based qualitative inputs informed the reported findings and interpretations.
