EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network, Irrigation Block Alvito-Pisão and Cuba IBA: Large steppe species: Eurasian Stone Curlew (winter diurnal transects) [2016-2020]

The dataset contains diurnal records of the Eurasian Stone Curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus) collected in the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (Block A: Alvito-Pisão) and in the Important Bird Area (IBA) of Cuba, in the framework of a “Bird Atlas” performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA. Data were collected in the winters of 2016-2020. An ad-hoc number of road transects was performed to detect the target species (in the surrounding fields) using the 500 km road net of the study area.

A total of 98 contacts for the target species was obtained
