Checklist of Native Vascular Plants of Kazakhstan

This checklist includes only native vascular plant taxa occurring in Kazakhstan. Alien and cultivated plant taxa are not included and are published separately in dedicated checklists. The dataset provides accepted names and synonyms, taxonomic hierarchy, nomenclatural authorship, and taxonomic status for native vascular plant taxa occurring within the country.In addition, the dataset contains 35,855 distribution records representing the occurrence of taxa across the floristic regions of Kazakhstan.

Distribution data are provided for each floristic region in which a taxon has been recorded. Geographic coordinates correspond to the centroid of the respective floristic region and are intended to represent regional distribution rather than precise occurrence localities.The dataset is intended to support biodiversity research, biodiversity conservation, taxonomic standardization, and the integration of biodiversity data within Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
