Supporting Dataset for Spatiotemporal Analysis of Shoreline Change in Mobile Bay

The study quantifies long-term shoreline change rates, short-term shoreline displacement, and shoreline persistence to characterize erosion and accretion patterns across the estuarine and barrier island environments of Mobile Bay. </p><p dir="ltr">The dataset includes extracted shoreline vectors, shore-normal transects, region of interest (ROI) shapefiles, shoreline position time series, Time series of shoreline and tidally corrected shorelines, End Point Rate (EPR) results, and Hurst exponent outputs in the CSV files.

Supplementary Python notebooks to the CoastSat toolkit that are used to collect NOAA Tide data for tidal correction, Hurst exponent analysis, and heat map generation. Supporting figures used in the manuscript are also provided. Shoreline positions were tidally corrected using NOAA tidal observations.
