This data repository contains raw and processed geochemical and mineralogical measurement results related to the manuscript of Farkas et al. (2026): "Examination of the postmortem alteration of dental enamel – combined analytical approaches and pre-treatment method standardisation".
Description
The repository includes the following datasets: 1. Oxygen Isotope Compositions: Stable isotope data (both carbonate and phosphate phases) of human dental enamel samples originating from two Hungarian archaeological sites. 2.
XRD (X-ray Powder Diffraction): Raw diffractograms of the samples (provided as text files). Summary table containing calculated FWHM (Full Width at Half Maximum) and d-spacing values. 3. FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy): Raw spectra for untreated and pre-treated samples (provided as text files).

Tables containing processed data, including integrated peak areas and maximum peak intensities. All measurements were conducted at the Institute for Geological and Geochemical Research, HUN-REN Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences (Budapest, Hungary). Detailed analytical procedures and instrument parameters are described in the "2 Materials and Methods" section of the associated article.
