Description

Musa Abd al-Karim (born in 1907, from Bethlehem) is interviewed by Sahdi Saber - 26 May 1995. Talks about the Ottoman period and how the Ottomans used to steal food and wheat from local people to feed the army; discusses the great snow of 1920 which lasted for a whole month causing great difficulties and shortages of food; during the great snow people used to keep warm by buring wood fires; many houses in Bethlehem were ruined by the great snow such as that of Musa Khalil in the souq.
