A chromosome-level genome assembly of the F1 hybrid seabream (Acanthopagrus schlegelii♀ × Pagrus major♂)

They are the most important species commercialized for food in various areas. As the hybrid generation has a faster growth and a better disease resistance, and there is little information of F1 genetic characteristics.

Here, we report a chromosome level reference genome of the F1 hybrid seabream generated by employing the Nanopore and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) technologies.  These results will provide an important foundational data for studying molecular mechanisms of heterosis.
