The 65 cases shown here involved 38 different female killers and 44 different victimized mothers. The number of cases (N = 65) is greater than the number of different female killers (N = 38) because some BTPD female killers were serial killers (i.e., killed >=1 juvenile in the same or different year). See Chapter 21 of Hoogland 2026 (page 399) for more information about BTPD females that were serial killers.

The 65 cases in this EXCEL file and Fig 21.6 came directly from Table 7.1 of Hoogland 1995 (page 136). Note that the kinships in this EXCEL file and Fig 21.6 are for female killer and the MOTHER of the victim---NOT between female killer and the victim. See Chapter 21 of Hoogland 2026 (page 387) for more discussion on this point.
For more information on the kinships in this EXCEL file and Fig 21.6, see Table 21.1 of Hoogland 2026 (page 388). Notice that data in this EXCEL file and in Fig 21.6 are PERCENTAGES These data used for Fig 21.6 in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 16 April 2025.
I considered data from the same prairie dog in different years to be independent. I scored a marauding whenever a BTPD female entered another female’s home nursery-burrow with pre-emergent offspring and remained there for >=5 mins.
