<p>Sequential application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria within the TriNetX Global Collaborative Network (<i>N</i> = 187,237,420 patients; 172 healthcare organizations).
Description
Eight selection steps yielded 11,337 eligible patients. After exclusion of 4,176 patients with concurrent SSRI and benzodiazepine use, 1,661 SSRI-only and 5,500 benzodiazepine-only patients remained.
Propensity score matching (1:1, caliper 0.1 SD of the logit propensity score) produced 1,567 matched pairs. Abbreviations: BZD, benzodiazepine; ICI, immune checkpoint inhibitor; SSRI, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.</p>
