FY3A VIRR Global Hot Spot Monitoring Level 2 Product

Listed in NASA Earthdata CMR

Description

Global Hot Spot Monitoring: The GFR (Global Fire) product utilize FY-3 VIRR data to derive the hot spot information around global range according to the features of mid-infrared channel in VIRR to a high temperature target, and the spectrum characteristics of other target, like cloud, water body, vegetation, in deferent channels of VIRR to delete the influence of solar radiation in hot spot discerning . The sub-pixel size and intensity of hot spot are evaluated using infrared channel data.

The hot spot intensity is based on the sub-pixel size and temperature of the hot spot. The resolution is 1 km. The reliance gives a mark to tell the possibility of the pixel detected.
