Short-Baseline Lightning Detection Dataset During Doksuri and Yagi

It records the evolution of lightning activity throughout the two typhoons, including lightning occurrence time, geolocation, peak current intensity, type, height and other information. The observations cover both the typhoon inner core and outer rainbands.

The dataset can be used for scientific research such as the analysis of lightning characteristics during typhoon evolution, investigation of discharge mechanisms in convective systems, and validation of short-baseline lightning location algorithms. Three-level quality control has been applied to the dataset, providing support for the study of lightning activity in severe convective weather.
