National Evaluation of the Emergency School Aid Act (ESAA) Study Files

This series contains sample data obtained from school districts, principals, teacher, and students and compiled at the school level. The data are in two parts: Overall Survey Files and In-Depth School Survey Files.

The Overall Survey Files have data from a sample of student s in Grades 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12. The data contains information on age, sex, race, ethnic identity, grade, math and reading raw test scores; student, staff, and faculty attitudes towards desegregation; and data on desegregation program characteristics, class sizes, expenditures, and parental involvement. The In-Depth School Survey Files have data on the organizational climate in the school, instructional practices, instructional resources, and the school's ability to ensure equality of educational opportunity.
