<p>Shown are the results of recruitment and enrollment into the present analysis of smartphone-based cough recording, relative to sampling in the parent study. “Reason not captured” for lack of completing longitudinal recording reflects the parent study design, in that only solicited cough sounds were recorded for some participants resulting in no documented reason for not completing longitudinal recording. No valid sessions occur when there are no recorded sessions that fall within the period research staff reported the participant had the device.

Other reasons may include device malfunction, improper use of devices, or data loss.</p>
