An annotated list of the type specimens of Tortricidae (Lepidoptera) in the collection of Zoological Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia. 2. Types of species described by N. N. Filipjev

Abstract

The primary types of thirty-five tortricid species described by N. N. Filipjev, deposited in the collection of Zoological Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, are listed and discussed. Lectotypes are designated for seven of these: Semasia elongata Filipjev, 1924; Piercea fulvimixta Filipjev, 1940; Semasia gracilis Filipjev, 1924; Phalonia lanceolata Filipjev, 1924; Piercea lydiae Filipjev, 1940; Polychrosis subherculeana Filipjev, 1924 and Ancylis transientana Filipjev, 1926.

Descriptions of the labels and photographs of adults are given for all species. Images of genitalia slides are provided for thirty-two of them. Pamene [sic!] seminotata Filipjev, 1926 is synonymized with Pammene regiana (Zeller, 1849) (syn. nov.).

Eucosma gracilis (Filipjev, 1924) is removed from the synonymy with Eucosma wimmerana (Treitschke, 1835) and considered as a separate species (stat. rev.).
